Ian Ledward

A successful full-time artist living and working in Fife and an exhibiting member of the Society of Scottish Artists.

Inspiration comes from both the natural and man made environment with a distinctive emphasis on the structure, pattern and poetry of light, colour and shape.

Truly distinctive work which frequently follows and develops themes – the Brugge Canals and Avenues of Trees in South West France for example.  Each piece is a unique creation that offers a slightly different comment on the subject.

Work includes multi-media images, line drawings, mono-prints and collage and is produced with a range of techniques including photography, printingt, acrylic painting and digital creation.
It is both affordable and unique.

Ian studied at Leeds College of Art and has taught at Jacob Kramer and Edinburgh Colleges of Art. His work is now in private and public collections worldwide.

A recent Scotsman review of the 2009 Pittenweem Arts Festival had this to say:

"If there was a top seller award at Pittenweem it would almost certainly go to multimedia artist Ian Ledward – his striking works, part painting, part digitally manipulated photograph, were besieged by red dots after just 24 hours on show.”
